Solidarity, Scotland’s Socialist Movement, would like to express our deepest sympathy for the families bereaved and those injured by the recent terrorist attacks at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester and London Bridge and Borough Market in London.
We join the Muslim Council of Britain and decent-minded people everywhere to condemn in the strongest terms these barbaric, murderous acts.
While it is certain that there is a link between Britain’s foreign policy and domestic terrorism, this does not diminish the pain of those who loved the people who were murdered nor the suffering of those injured, who were all completely innocent.
We note the selfless acts of those everyday heroes who tried to intervene against the terrorists at Borough Market and indeed those who gave their time by offering shelter and free taxi rides to those affected.
We stand in solidarity with you all.
